Presenter: Prof Darwish: He is a lecturer in civil engineering at the University of Bolton – UK. He has delivered undergraduate and postgraduate modules in environmental management, aeronautical engineering, Artificial Intelligence, and mechanical engineering. He is a professor and program leader at the Excelia Group at La Rochelle Business School – France. Prof Darwish has previously supervised 12 PhDs, over 42 dissertations at the master’s level and several undergraduate dissertations. He is currently supervising 14 PhD candidates. Prof Darwish has a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from the Engineering College in Baghdad – Iraq. His Master’s Membership is in Aeronautics from the Cranfield Institute of Technology, UK, and his PhD in Aeronautics is from the University of Reading, UK. He has several business, environmental and quality management diplomas and a PGCE (Teaching Qualification) from Huddersfield University – UK. He has thirty-two years of practical aerodynamics experience, working in and creating many mechanical and environmental engineering laboratories. Professor Darwish is the chairman of the wind energy committee within the steering committee of the World Renewable Energy Network (UK) (WREN). In addition, he designed and built different wind turbines for students’ experimental work and designed and built several mechanical, aeronautical, and renewable energy labs, besides being a co-editor and a reviewer for academic journals and books. Prof Darwish has published over one hundred papers and has contributed chapters to many books.
