Dr. Shukurat M. Bello

Dr. Bello is an Associate Professor at Bayero University Kano, Nigeria, with a specialization in Business Management and Entrepreneurship. With over 19 years of experience in academia, research, and community service, she has built a strong reputation as an expert in her field. Dr. Bello holds a Ph.D. in Management Studies from Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, in addition to an MBA and BSc in Business Administration from Bayero University Kano, where she graduated at the top of her class.

She is a Certified Shariah Advisor and Auditor (AAOIFI), a Certified Islamic Finance Executive, and a Fellow of the Institute of Strategic Entrepreneurship of Nigeria. Dr. Bello is also an Associate Accounting Technician (ICAN).

An active contributor to academic discourse, Dr. Bello has presented papers at numerous local and international academic conferences. She is the author of over thirty publications in peer-reviewed journals and edited volumes, further solidifying her scholarly contributions.

Throughout her academic career, Dr. Bello has held several leadership positions at Bayero University, including serving as Sub-Dean of Academics in the Faculty of Management Sciences and as the pioneering Coordinator of the Entrepreneurship Program at the Dangote Business School. Additionally, she has played a significant role in the innovation ecosystem as a Sabbatical Fellow at Opolo Global Innovation, where she nurtured entrepreneurs through incubation and acceleration programs. Dr. Bello works closely with startups, helping them refine their market strategies for long-term growth and sustainability.
