Prof. Hyeong-Dong Park
Biography
Hyeong-Dong Park is a Professor at the Department of Energy Systems Engineering, Seoul National University, Korea. He received BSc from the Department of Mineral and Petroleum Engineering, Seoul National University in 1988, and MSc from the same department in 1990. He completed his PhD (from 1990 to 1994) in Engineering Geology at Imperial College, UK. His major interests are resource assessment for renewable energy, application of GIS and Remote sensing techniques for renewable energy sites, and geohazards assessment. In 2004, he received the Richard-Wolters Prize from IAEG (International Association for Engineering Geology and the Environment) for his merits in research in the field of engineering geology.
