Biography
Univ.-Prof.em. Dr.-Ing. Helmut FO Müller, architect
1966 – 72: studied architecture at the University of Hanover and Stuttgart (diploma) and at London University College (School of Environmental Studies / Bartlett School).
1972 – 82: planning and research work in the construction industry, engineering offices and the University of Stuttgart (dissertation).
1982 – 93: Professor in the Department of Architecture at the Cologne University of Applied Sciences.
1991 – 97: Founding and management of the Institute for Lighting and Construction Technology at the Cologne University of Applied Sciences (ILB).
1993 – 2009: Professor of the newly established Chair of Climate-Friendly Architecture at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Dortmund.
1997 – 2005: Managing Director Shareholder of GLB, Gesellschaft für Licht und Bautechnik mbH, in Dortmund.
2006 – 2013: Deputy Chairman of FiTLicht eV Promotion Association for Innovative Daylight Use.
Since 2008: Member of the Supervisory Board of SSP AG, Bochum.
Since 2009: Director of Green Building R&D GmbH, Düsseldorf.
