Dr. Mohammed Abdulaziz AlAqil
Biography
Dr Mohammed Abdulaziz AlAqil is currently the Head of the Electrical Engineering Department in the College of Engineering at King Faisal University, Saudi Arabia. He received his BSc. (Hons.) in Electrical Power Engineering from Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN), Malaysia (2012) and the MSc. & Ph.D. in Electrical Power Systems Engineering from The University of Manchester, UK (2021). He was selected among the top ten promising young energy researchers in the UK in The International Council on Large Electric Systems (CIGRE) annual Smart Energy Solutions showcase competition in 2020. He is a former Transmission Engineer at National grid SA and was recently appointed as a Visiting academic in Thornton’s Energy Centre at the University of Chester, UK. He has contributed as a researcher in various international research projects in the area of smart transmission networks in association with national grid in UK, The Centre for Energy Advancement through Technological Innovation (CEATI), in Canada, Energy Supply Board in Ireland, and Scottish Southern Electricity Networks in Scotland.
